Questions

Do I need prior knowledge or experience to book a tour with Hike Away?

There are different tours at Hike Away:

- Those that are aimed at people who do not have much / no experience in bivouacking / hiking

- Those who require a certain level of fitness in order to master the altitude gain / distance in the planned time

What does bivouacking mean?

Bivouacking is sleeping without a tent, either under a tarp or a mosquito net (especially in the north you don't want to be without it!) Or "topless", which means completely in the open air.

What is a tarp?

A tarp is a kind of ultra-light fabric, which can be put up in a thousand different variants and thus, either simply results in a horizontal roof or even serves as a tent-like protection against snow and rain.

It is either anchored with cords or / and attached with branches / hiking sticks / paddles. There are no limits to the imagination and the great thing is that it looks different every time: o)
